Giraffe Ranch is a licensed working ranch that specializes in exotic species as well as domestic cattle and horses. Learn about exotic animals from an expert guide from the comfort of specially designed 4-wheel drive vehicles.

Located in beautiful east Pasco County 45 minutes north of Tampa, Giraffe Ranch is on 47 acres of rolling countryside. With huge live oaks, native orchids and lush pastures and wetlands, our ranch is also a native wildlife preserve. Every night up to 200 Sandhill Cranes roost on our grounds.

Enjoy Giraffe Ranch farm tours with an experienced driver/guide in customized 4-WD safari tour vehicles. You will be safe, comfortable and get a terrific view, as each vehicle is fitted with shade canopies and stadium seating. You will learn about native and exotic animals and their habitats from your safari guide.

You will see our ongoing conservation efforts with endangered species and some that are extinct in the wild.
On safari you can feed giraffe, zebra and other animals from Asia, Africa, and the Americas.See our working herd of Austrian Haflinger horses and our tiny Irish Dexter cattle. Giraffe Ranch has one of the largest herds of these diminutive cattle in Florida.

Family-owned and operated for over 12 years, Giraffe Ranch is open by reservation only. We have two tours per day at 11am and 2pm. Tours are strictly limited in size and are fun, educational adventures.
Giraffe Ranch is accredited by the Zoological Association of America (ZAA) and licensed by USDA.

You’ll be conducted through pristine live oak hammocks and ephemeral wetlands in comfort and safety where you’ll get spectacular close-up encounters with giraffe, ostrich, bongo antelope,

Grant’s zebra, blackbuck antelope, axis deer, warthog, red river hog, Père David’s deer, pygmy hippopotamus, Indian rhinoceros, Brazilian tapir, scimitar-horned oryx, and more unique and endangered species in large herds. Take part in real hands-on interactions with many species!

You will be comfortable year-round under our special truck canopy with a cool breeze as the vehicle carries you on your safari adventure.

Four safari options are available: the signature vehicle safari experience, the camelback expedition, the Segway Safari and the Llama Trek. Add-on experiences include a mini camelback expedition, a mini Segway Safari and lemur, otter, rhino and bongo feedings. Tours are available daily by reservation only.

Giraffe Ranch has one of the largest herds of tiny Irish Dexter cattle in Florida.

Additionally, we maintain two breeding herds of giraffe, which live in upland habitats on the ranch.
